We have a Canadian customer that is splitting from its US partner and requires a move of its Canadian mailboxes from the existing US managed O365 email infrastructure into its own O365 tenant. Currently all email sits in O365 for both Canada and the US users in a single tenant. Active Directory is also hosted within the US infrastructure and is used by both parties. All email is hosted in O365 with no on-prem presence. There is no SSO and users authenticate twice. There is a .CA SMTP domain that would be transferred and re-purposed for the Canadian side once the split occurs. This domain is currently being hosted within the existing O365 tenant.
How does this type of a migration occur?
Thanks.
