My company recently had a load of data imported (not by me) from another company's systems. One of these was a master calendar, which seems to have quite a bit of data populated, but the users reported a bug where checking the "all day" checkbox or the "recurring" checkbox would not do what they normally would (and I confirmed personally). After creating a new/blank "test calendar", I realize that the old Master Calendar is not actually a calendar at all, but instead sharepoint calls it a "List" (though it renders on-screen like a calendar). I've fished through the administrative settings hoping there might be a way to change this object's "type" or something similar, but haven't found anything quite yet. A key issue I notice is that the "Calendar Tools" control at the top only has one sub-section ("Calendar"), whereas the test calendar has two ("Calendar" and "Events"). Plus the aforementioned, original issue of the "all day" and "recurring" checkboxes actually not doing what they're supposed to in the imported one.
I know some would suggest we just create a new "blank" calendar to use going forward (and I will consider this possibility), but there are a few hundred entries in the existing/imported one, which we will still need going forward. So if there's any way to safely alter the properties of the current one, that would be far preferable.
Thanks in advance!
