Here's the situation: I have an existing pop3 mail solution hosting mail addresses someone@contoso.com. Many of these users have used these email addresses for their Microsoft Account login (at live.com, skydrive, on their phones, xbox 360, etc). We are now migrating all of these people to exchange online, so "contoso.com" is now going to be hosted with exchange online.
While I was in the process of doing setting up the domain with exchange online (verifying the domain ownership, etc), as soon as I added "contoso.com" as the default domain for exchange online, I started getting problems. When I tried to log into live.com (with myname@contoso.com, as I always have done), the login failed and told me that that address couldn't be used with outlook.com. I could still get to skydrive.live.com with myname@contoso.com just fine, though.
Before I go any further with the migration, I'd like to confirm what the repercussions of finishing this migration will be. Understandably, outlook.com is confused about myname@contoso.com because it is now an exchange online login. Will all of the other live services work with the original account login though? (skydrive, phone, xbox, etc)
