Does Kindle HD support Exchange email?

Hello,

I am tryng to set up email (Exchange-based via Office 365) on a Kindle 7 HD. Amazon says that the Kindle supports this. All support documentation that I can find from Microsoft indicates that the Kindle can only run POP or IMAP email.

Can someone clarify, please?
