continuous exchange lost and restored connections

Hi

I have recent bought a new sony viao with windows 8 and setup office 365 on it yesterday, I know have an issue where it continually goes from

connection has been lost. outlook will restore as soon as possible.

to a second or two later

connection has been restored straight back to the lost error

I have updated another computer and also have an ipad and iphone connected to the same mail box - they are all working

any help is greatly appreciated
