Sending email using SMTP?

I have tried creating a dummy account in my Outlook to test the account, and I also cannot send using what I beleive to be proper settings.

My client is purchasing a new software which needs to send automated email updates to clients.

I have created a dedicated mailbox for this account, have the correct ports as provided by Microsoft (see at the bottom of the message).

However, the software is unable to send the email.
