Outlook Prompting for password - Cannot solve

Hi There,

 

My client has had this continuous problem for about 45 days now. Basically Outlook will continualy prompt for passwords when opening the Outlook profile and never accept it which then eventually fails to open the profile. We can open the profile on another computer fine so there is nothing wrong with the account or autodiscover details as they work fine. A new profile doesn't work either.

 

The only solution we found was uninstalling Office 2010 and reinstalling Office 2010 (home and business edition) which would work fine for a few days and then eventually start doing the prompting again and causng outlook to be unable to open.

 

its a very strange issue and I cannot put the finger on it and I really don't want to have to reload the computer but its getting close to that stage after spending hours troubleshooting so far.

 

All Microsoft updates have been applied to the system and all the downloads using the Office 365 tool to prepare the desktop.

 

What else could cause this prompting? I've removed the McAfee A/V solution which made no difference and there isn't any password saving software on the computer.
