I recently discovered that we're missing about 12 months of email from our inbox. I need to know how to recover the information. I read the use recover deleted items but that only stores up to 1 month which presents a problem for us since we keep data dating back to 7/2011. With that said, most of our customer emails get sorted into customer folders under the inbox that are still there but we still have some that may have not been sorted. I need a way to recover the data. Maybe you guys backup mailboxes periodically and I can restore to another mailbox to make sure that all data is there and manually pull data over to the original box. I need need to make sure I don't lose new email while I'm trying to recover the missing information.
Setup:
- Each user has their own mailbox connected via outlook
- All users have access to our main (customer) mailbox (about 7 users) connected via outlook and mobile device. We use this method so that no customer email is missed even when on vacation or simply out to lunch.
I checked every computer to make sure no one deleted the information or archived it locally but I could not pinpoint the source PC or device. I need this resolved asap and unfortunately I'm not sure how to go about resolving this critical issue. Is this the proper forum for this technical problem?
