Junk email does not add valid addresses and keeps junking good email

I continually find valid email messages in my junk folder. I denote these senders as "not junk" and OK adding their addresses to the acceptable email list. Sure enough, the next message from that address shows up in "Junk" and when I OK adding the address to the acceptable list, I get a message saying this cannot be done since that address already in the OK email list. Time after time.... this is a pain.
