Recurring Tasks in Outlook 2013 Won't Stay Completed

I am having a problem with recurring tasks in Outlook 2013.  When I mark a recurring task as complete, the task moves to the next scheduled time and then a couple of seconds later it comes right back to the current date as "not completed".  It doesn't look like recurring tasks is working correctly at all.  I am using the Outlook 2013 client on a Windows 8 PC connecting to my Office 365 account.
