Why the sending limit of O365 E1 account hasn't been upgrade yet?

Hi there,

 

We have purchased office 365 E1 package several months ago. Everything went fine.

 

When I heard the sending limit of exchange online has been raised to 10,000 receipt per 24 hours, I have given it a try today sending X'mas note to a list of 2,500 addresses, however it loos like my account didn't get updated as described. It prevents me from sending more emails after approx 1,500, keep warning me "the sending limi has been reached"

 

I am wondering if there's anything we need to do at the client end to meet the upgrade of sending limit? Or it's just because the upgrade only affects upcoming new account, but no exsiting one?
