Mailbox access groups

We are looking for an elegant way to handle to the following. Our company has 6 supervisors with 6 employees working in thier teams. We want to give each supervisor read access to their all the members of their team only. The teams are fluid, employees come and go and are sometimes transferred from team to team. Is there a way to manage this scenario using distribution or security group, we want to avoid trying to manage on an individual basis via PowerShell?

MX record change after complete migration on Office 365

Hello,

We have done complete Email migration from On-premises exchange to Office
365 using staged migration.

Now we are planning to change MX record, before changing it we need some
help on it.

We have exchange 2003 SP2 and we have total 15 Exchange servers in different
region

Q: Do we need to keep all or few exchange servers after complete migration?

Q: Before changing MX record which is going to point Office 365, what kind
of precautions we will have to take? (DNS we are managing in house only)

Q: After MX record change what things we need to look?

Q: Right now we are using Sonic Wall as a SPAM filter and it send daily SPAM
summary to all users, will we get same Summary from MS SPAM filter?

Q: To avoid lots of SPAM what we need to do on MS FF SPAM filter?

Q: We are using once Exchange server as a SMTP server for Application to
send/receive emails, will that get affected? If yes, please suggest on it

Regards,

Swapnil

Hi,

For a couple of weeks now i have been experience issues with accessing my emails via my Android mobile device.  Everything has been working fine since i migrated to Office 365, but now my connection seems to intermittently dropped.

I am running Android 4.0.4 and using the default Email client, although i have tried a number of clients.

I have done a quick exchange trace and found the following:

RequestHeader :

As a temporary (I hope) workaround I have changed my sync settings to every 5 minutes, as opposed to push.

Why has this just started to occur? Do you have any suggestions on how i can fix this?

Kind Regards

Hi,

We are using office365 p1 plan quite a long time and never had any problems with this, but recently I started to recieve 1-2 spam email per day - from different email account, this bank client dead proposals etc.

Is it possible to do something against it?

Thank you!

550 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender

I've setup an SMTP relay for Office 365.  However I cannot seem to send any mails.  I've done a search on this forums and other posts suggect that there needs to be a valid entry in the FROM field (an address with a send as permission).  I am trying to send using my own account to others on the same domain.

I will be using the SMTP relay address on a printer and there is no FROM field on the printer.  Can I pass this from within the IIS SMTP relay server somehow?  Has anyone come across this problem?

I need the IP address(es) for the outgoing pool of servers for Exchange 365

I have a client that will only receive email from IP addresses that are from known sources.  Before we migrated to Exchange 365 we had only one outgoing server and all was good.  Now we have moved to Exchange 365 and they will not accept email from Microsoft's Datacenter.

I called MS and they sent me this link:

http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/Office365-enterprises/hh373144.aspx

I sent this to my client and they want more specifics, so I sent them this link:

http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/gg263350.aspx

They still wanted more specifices, so I sent a message to an external address and got the following information from the message header:

Received: from tx2outboundpool.messaging.microsoft.com ([65.55.88.14])

I sent this to my client and they say they don't want to have to piece mill a bunch of IP address together to accommodate me so I continue to look for the mystical address range.

But after looking at the IP address I got from the message header I realized that this (65.55.88.14) address is not even posted on MS list of IP address for Exchange 365 services, although it is listed as "The IP Address ranges that are specific to the new Data Center format" on this site:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh510075.aspx

All I need is the IP address(es) for the outbound pool for Exchange 365.

Thanks in Advance

Mack

When booking a meeting in Office 365 and using only the online exchange service (no internal exchange), I receive a response from the room resource stating "Your meeting request was declined. It didn't specify an end date. The end date must be before ...".  I understand what I could do if I had exchange setup internally, but I can't find a way to allow these types of meetings to be set without an end date, within the current Office365 mail admin environment.

External Contacts in Distribution Group not Receiving Emails

$

I have SOME external contacts that do not receive emails sent to a distribution group they are a member of. I can email them directly just fine by finding their name in the GAL. However when I send an email to a distribution group they are a member of, they never receive the email. Checked mail filtering and message is NOT being blocked. I was able to replicate the issue with another domain I manage. Doesn't happen with all external contacts.

Only recent change made to our O365 environment was running

Set-RemoteDomain Default -TNEFEnabled $false

We did this because we were receiving complaints of recipients getting a winmail.dat attachment and unable to reach the message. So running command disable all rich text formatted emails from going out. This may have caused the problem, however if it did we need a fix for the new issue is created.

Thanks,

AJ

New Email we send From O365 P plans is being Blocked or Marked as SPAM

Hi!

We are O365 P plan subscribers.

We have a very serious problem with emails we send from Outlook being marked as spam or being out right blocked.  I have read that our host records need to be correct - which I think they are - our domain is conemediagroup.com

http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/160/p/72923/273297.aspx#273297

I believe the problem is with the x-originating-ip field in the emails we are sending as we connect from multiple locations -- but the blocking / SPAM is happening from all locations.

http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/160/p/20470/295904.aspx#295904

Please advise on how we can fix this ASAP?

Many Thanks,

Doug 6175049806

Here are some sample headers of failed emails:

1. Bounced Back-- note if you look up the x-originating-ip address in a black list checker like:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check - you will see the IP below is on several SPAM lists!

Connected Account to Hotmail not downloading to O365

I have created a connected account from Office365 OWA to my Hotmail Account.

The connection seemed to be made correctly and I got the message that I would soon see my Hotmail emails within Outlook.

However, no emails have been received and the status remains showing as "Downloading".

I cannot see any additional configuration that I need to do - from what I have seen and read, Hotmail as a connected account should just work.

Outlook - Trying to connect (slow connection?)

Hi all,

I'm having some issues with Outlook 2010 connecting to an office365 account. There are 2 users on the account (2 Mailboxes). One of those mailboxes is being used by 2 persons (2 Computers). There is one computer that is having problems connecting to Exchange. Most of the time it's saying 'Trying to connect...'. Sometimes the connections is established immeiately, sometimes it takes 15-30 minutes, sometimes the connection won't come at all.

On the second computer there is no problem with connection to the account, we think. The user said he doesn't work that much with it so maybe he just isn't noticing it.

I've found this hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2675986), but I can't install it on the computer. The hotfix is not valid for this installation < Something like that, can't remember the error atm. Also, I'm not 100% sure if this is the same problem.

To be clear; There is only 1 e-mail account configured in the Outlook Profile, on both computers.

Any suggestions?

Jente

Not receiving emails sent from HM Revenue and Customs

Hi, I'm new to the forums and need help with a problem in receving emails from a particular sender in this case HM Revenue & Customs with the sending address being vatnotifications@eprompts.hmrc.gov.uk, which sends important reminders and notifications.

I have spoken with HMRC and have been able to confirm with them that they are sending emails to the correct address, and that they are definitely being sent although they can provide no further information.

I have checked the receiving account and the messages do not arrive either in the in box or junk email, I have also checked delivery reports and again there is no sign of the email there either.

I migrate to Office365 from Office Live and my domain setup is very simple with a single custom domain.

I need to receive these emails so any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

I's used to Outlook 2010, and there I can set a different sender/reply-to adress than the account name in my Hosted Exchange account.  In Office365 the the standard :  xxx@name.onmicrosoft.com  is set, and I would like to change that to : xxx@name.no

How can this be done ?

some emails are not getting through to mailbox

We are receiving emails from evryone ok as far as we know except when the email comes from our website.

We have sent a test email to another mailbox not on Office 365 and it works ok, however the email sent to our address in Office 365 is not getting through, not even in the junk filter.

Is there a filter that we can allow the emails to come through on?

Password issue

Hi,

I've setup Outlook locally and connected to 365.

It worked fine for a while, but now a dialogue keeps appearing in Outlook asking for my password, but doesn't accept it. I've double checked the password (works when logging on to Office365) and also tried recreating the email profile , but that hasn't solved the issue. The status in Outlook read connected to Microsoft Exchange and it also seems to be syncing.

Hope you can help.

Disclaimer not displaying correctly when sent from ipad

We have a online exchange server with Office 365. (plan 2)

We have many users and I have placed in the rules for a company disclaimer to be placed on all out going email. Everything is working just as it should for all users with the exception of one. We have only one user that is using a Ipad to sync with the server. He is the only user that is having a problem. The problem is the disclaimer that is attached to his outgoing email is not formatted correctly and looks bad to the receiving party.

NOTE:

The Ipad is newer and is running the newest OS.

The Ipad is synced and everything looks good on the users end.

Thank you.

Cannot connect Outlook 2007 to Office 365

I want to know how to cancel this crap and get my money back. As usual, absolute garbage from Microsoft!!!!!!!! Pathetic!

I have Outlook 2007 installed on my machine with up to date service packs, when I try to connect through POP / SMTP / EXCHANGE it just will not work, I have tried manually configuring Outlook and all it does is prompt me for Username and Password which I enter again and again with no luck, yet the same username and password logs me in to the online Portal for Office 365,

I tried manually configuring exchange mailbox settings based on a number of guides, checking that the HTTP connection was enabled, specifying Exchange name appended mailbox etc.

Nothing works, I have tried every solution, and quite frankly I am fuming about the disgraceful nature of Microsoft products being a nightmare to integrate!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any miracle solutions? Maybe I ditch Windows and go for something more useful like Linux? I want my money back too! I am not paying for an e-mail system which clearly does not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Users in Windows 2003 Terminal Server environment with Office 2010

What is the process to configure users in a Windows 2003 Terminal Server environment running Outlook 2010 for access to Exchange Online?  I have read several posts with concerns about deploying the Office 365 client login and issues with roaming profiles on the terminal server and cached mode.

Can someone please confirm this is a supported configuration and when the configuration process is.
